About Whitelee Cottages
Relax amid spectacular and dramatic scenery in this gloriously unspoilt part of Northumberland. Lying within the Northumberland National Park and enjoying panoramic views over Whitelee Fell National Nature Reserve, these 4-star self-catering holiday cottages are former shepherds’ cottages, renovated to an excellent standard while retaining lots of character.
Oak and Birch have beamed living room ceilings and all three cottages have inglenook fireplaces with multi-fuel stoves for a warm and cosy atmosphere. There are wildlife cameras feeding live pictures direct to the TV in each cottage so you can watch barn owls, badgers and other wildlife, depending on the time of year (see Naturewatch). The three cottages are in close proximity and can be booked together for groups of up to 13.
The area is rich in wildlife and ideal for walkers. Whitelee Holiday Cottages are an idyllic base for exploring the Roman Wall, Lindisfarne, Kielder Forest Park and the Scottish Borders, while Newcastle and Edinburgh are within an easy drive. The nearest shops are in Jedburgh 15 minutes away and he major supermarkets will deliver to the cottages.
